Stop windows update by changing group policy windows 10
If you have a Windows 10 Professional, Business or Education Edition, you can turn off automatic updates. But these options are hidden. In version 1703, you should do this, if you have any version of Windows 10, then this implementation still applies, but the word is slightly different.
• Press Win-R, type "gpedit.msc", press Enter opens this local group policy editor.

The Metered network trick
If you have Windows 10 home version of Windows 10, you can turn off some automatic updates by lying on your operating system. (Speaking morally, it does not bother us).
In previous versions of Windows 10, it only works with Wi-Fi networks, but version 1703 and later, Ethernet connections can also take part.
This trick is to tell Windows that you have a connection Metered from the internet, which can download a lot of bits each month without increasing your ISP bill. Microsoft says that doing so "will not automatically install for Windows" and some applications may not work as expected.
To let Windows know that you have a Metered connection (whether or not you have it):
1. Go to Start> Settings> Network and Internet.
2. Depending on the type of connection, select the Wi-Fi or Ethernet tab in the left panel that you want to change.
